Easter is just around the corner, and a long weekend with a delicious easter cocktail is coming right up.
First up – Hot Cross Bun Gin to use in a delicious cocktail we’ve been workshopping
What do you need to make homemade Hot Cross Bun Gin?
Make this recipe at least 2 weeks ahead to allow some time for the flavours to develop!
All you need is:
- 500ml Pennant Gin
- 1 Vanilla pod, halved lengthways
- 2 Tbsp mixed dried fruit
- 1 Cinnamon stick
- ½ Tsp cloves
Add all ingredients into a sterilised bottle or jar and shake well to combine.
Set the bottle aside in a cool, dark place for a week, allowing the flavours to meld and the infusion to take place. Taste and adjust the flavours to suit.
Allow another week to pass and then strain it through a fine-mesh strainer back into your original bottle, or into any sterilised and sealable bottle or jar.
